When an everyday object sparks a creative impulse, the results can be truly impactful. After a chance encounter with an aluminum fabrication company, Jamie Wolford‘s thoughts immediately turned to the “quintessential machined element,” a screw thread, imagining its possible uses. In a typical transformative pop operation of scaling up, Wolford takes the screw and transforms it into a new, unexpected object and way of creating and interacting with light.
